Testimonials
We have had the pleasure of working with Ty Johnson with generations of dogs and every
single time, he has been a vital part of keeping our dogs as healthy as possible.
Whether it was a torn acl of our 110 pound Rhodesian Ridgeback who needed water therapy as
well as laser and tailored exercises or our sweet little Ibizan Hound girl who was born with
compromised knees (undergoing two knee surgeries) and deformed feet and had to start rehab
as a puppy, Ty brought and brings his expertise and passion for his work to every patient he
works with – thoroughly researching each patient’s physical needs and implementing a plan
specifically for that animal and educating the owners as well on home care.
We always knew that when our dog was in his care, that they were in the best hands and we
could rest assured they were getting everything they needed to thrive in their day-to-day life.
We saw noticeable changes in our dogs from Ty’s work, more energy, better range of motion,
better strength, and most importantly (for us) Ty treated our dog(s) as if they were his own and
has an invested loving relationship with every animal he treats.
Ty is a true gift to the community and we cannot express how thankful we are to know him!

I’ve been fortunate to know Tyler Johnson for nearly nine years. During that time,
he very successfully rehabilitated two of my dogs for torn ACL tendons, and a torn
shoulder tendon. He’s also done great work to maintain range of motion on my
dog with an arthritic elbow and is currently working with her on rehab following
an elbow break. I’d recommend Tyler most highly to anyone needing canine
rehabilitation. Here’s why:
He is an expert. Few practitioners in the Austin area have the depth or length of
experience that Tyler has.
He tailors his programs to the dog’s immediate needs. He has a wide range of
exercises and will extend or curtail them depending on the dog’s progress or level
of comfort.
He works closely with the veterinarian. My dog’s orthopedic veterinarian
regularly receives rehabilitation summaries from Tyler, and they work as a team
to develop the right program, at the right time for my dog.
He knows how to establish rapport with the animals he treats. My dog literally
squeals with excitement when she sees him, and she will walk on the balance
equipment by herself, waiting for him to begin.
HE CARES.

Our dog Oliver was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that caused him to lose significant body weight, and his treatment also caused secondary infections that made him immobile. We started physical therapy with Tyler as soon as we could, and Oliver has not only regained his mobility and body weight, he is actually now stronger than he was before he got sick. When people that saw him when he was sick see him now they call him "a miracle dog", and a huge part of this is because of the work Tyler did with him to rehabilitate. Tyler is extremely gifted with his work, and also genuinely cares about the animals. Both of our dogs are now seniors, so going forward we've decided to keep them doing regular physical therapy to keep them strong and hopefully help prevent future issues. We are so thankful for Tyler's care and could not more highly recommend his work.
