Who is On The Run Animal Rehabilitation and Massage?
Tyler Johnson, CCRP, SAMP
Owner and Operator
On The Run is owned and operated by Tyler Johnson, CCRP, SAMP. Tyler has 17 years experience working as a rehab and massage specialist in Austin, TX. He has also worked along side some of the best veterinary specialists in Austin, TX for the last 20+ years.
Tyler was born and raised in Victoria, TX. At the age of 13, he began volunteering at a local Zoo where he was given the opportunity to hand raise and train some of the zoo animals used in the educational classes. At 16, Tyler signed on as an employee of the zoo and continued his work as a zookeeper/handler. After completing high school, Tyler moved to Austin to continue his work in the animal field. He worked as a veterinary technician at local veterinary hospitals until he became a surgery technician at Central Texas Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Hospital in 2003. This was where he found his true calling in the field of Animal Rehab. Tyler completed the certification program at the University of Tennessee in 2007 and became a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner as well as the Rehabilitation Director at CTVSEH. Tyler also completed coursework to become a Certified Small Animal Massage Practitioner through the Northwest School of Animal Massage. In his free time, Tyler enjoys hiking with his dogs, biking around Austin, camping, paddle boarding, running, and attending live music shows and festivals.
